اردو سکرین ریڈر کا اجراء ۱۸ مارچ سنہ ۲۰۱۶ ء کو ہوا۔ اس کی تیاری نابینا اور ضعفِ بصارت میں مبتلا افراد کی خصوصی ضروریات کو مدِّنظر رکھتے ہوئے کی گئی ہے۔ یہ اردو زبان میں مستعمل مختلف خصوصی علامات جیسا کہ وقت (۷:۳۰ )، تاریخ (مثلاً 6جون، 1980ء یا ۶ ربیع الثانی ۱۴۳۴ھ) نیز مستعمل عربی کلمات کے لیے مختص علامات ( ؐ، ؓ ، ؑ , ؒ ) ، ہندسوں مثلاً اعشاریہ (۶ء۵)، کسر (۷۱/۱۳)، اوقاف کی علامات (! ؟ ۔،؛ ) اور دیگر علامات (٪، @، $) کو بآسانی پڑھ سکتا ہے۔
