CLE in collaboration with Virtual University of Pakistan, has been awarded a research project titled, “Investigating the Impact of Open Education Resources (OER) on Secondary and Tertiary Education in Pakistan”, by International Development Research Center (IDRC), Canada. This project aims to research ways in which OER engagement influences teacher educators’ epistemological and pedagogical stance and to examine the nature of any shifts in their practice; identify contextual factors which support or constrain sustained engagement with OER by teacher educators and to communicate research outputs appropriately in multiple spaces to inform future policy and practice on the use of OER to improve teacher education. Findings of this project will be contributed in the larger IDRC led Research initiative on OER for Development [ROER4D] Impact Studies being executed in collaboration with institutions from across the world with interest in Africa and Asia. |
