Ms. Maham Sajid, working at CLE as a Research Officer, holds an M.Phil degree in Applied Linguistics and possesses approximately 3 years of research experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP). For the advancement of TTS (Text-to-Speech) technology, she has developed the Urdu and Punjabi speech corpora. She has also contributed to sentiment analysis on Twitter data (English, Urdu, and Roman Urdu) for the project titled "Empowering Public Policy on Socio-Economic Issues through Citizens Sentiment Analysis." One of her major responsibilities is managing a team of interns who develop and annotate Urdu corpora for various projects. She has a particular interest in developing linguistic resources for regional languages as a whole, with a specific emphasis on creating Urdu corpora. |
