It includes the analysis and description of the physical properties of speech signal such as frequency, intensity and duration. Acoustic research has become one of the most promising lines of language research internationally however it is still less explored research area in our local context.
The aim of this certificate is to advance the field of Acoustic phonetics and its research in the local context. This program will help the participants to identify the unexplored areas of research in the context of Urdu Phonetics and understanding a broad range of challenging problems, including:
Teaching of English / Urdu language and speech
Phonetic comparison of languages
Child language acquisition
Speech communication technology and speech processing
